A tripartite meeting between Amarapali Dream Valley Project Buyers, Amrapali Builders and Greater Noida Authority official was conducted on Wednesday evening.
Amrapali group CMD Anil Kumar Sharma had to face tough questions from hundreds of agitated flat buyers and investors. Hundreds of buyers have gathered at Greater Noida Authority for this meeting. People have traveled from far-off places in Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida to take part in this meeting.
Greater Noida Authority ACEO Janaradan, Financial Controller Arvind Mohan were present with other senior officials during the meet.
Acknowledging genuine concerns of the buyers Authority officials have directed builder to submitted a detailed plan of delivery with complete roadmap viz-a-viz financial viability of the claims to the authority by June 7. Authority has also warned that if builder fails to do the needful in given time-frame strict action will be taken against them.
The Long Delay:
Amraplai Dream Valley project was launched amid huge fanfare in the year 2009. Situated in Tech Zone-IV the project plan has 47 towers where 12,00 dwelling units are proposed to be constructed. Out of these proposed 12,000 approximately 8,000 units are already sold to different home buyers. The delivery of flats was scheduled to start in 2013, however as of June 2013, none of the towers have completed so far.
Buyers Speak:

Buyers allege that funds collected from home buyers of this project is being diverted to Amrapali group’s other projects and that’s why the project has failed to finish. Harinder Pal Singh a homebuyer in Amrapali Group project said, “Most of the buyers have already paid 80% of the money, yet at the project site not even 60% construction has finished. We have been given assurances and completion dates before as well but nothing materialized. We can just hope that builder sticks to the promises and plan which they are going to submit before authority now”.
Home buyers are extremely upset with the builders and a group has also threatened to go on fast-onto-death from June 20. However CMD Anil Sharma has promised that construction will resume from July,1 and group will do the needful for earliest completion.
