Gorkhas protest against Mamta Banerjee, alleging her insensitive towards Gorkhas

NEW DELHI : To protest against Mamta Banerjee, Gorkhas of Delhi staged a demonstration at Jantar Mantar. This was against the exaggerated imposition of Bengali language among the schools of Darjeeling where Nepali is the official language.
Gorkhas said that, people have been demanding for a separate state of Gorkhaland since 1907. It has been numerous impediments but the soul of Gorkhashas still been as strong and convinced as it ever was for the realisation of this dream.
To show our solidarity with the public of hills and our love for the language ‘Jati’ the Gorkha people have gathered to protest against callous West Bengal government, they added .
