Noida Authority to monitor projects on weekly basis, officials told to submit time bound progress reports

Taking cognizance of the projects which are running behind the schedule time, Noida authority senior official has reprimanded concerned departments and has issued warning. GM Rajiv Tyagi has directed that from now onwards completion of projects will be monitored through weekly deadlines. Every officer will be assigned an amount of work that has to be completed by him within a week and have to pass the details of the same to his senior officials within given time frame. If the officers miss the deadline and are not able to complete the work, he had to give an explanation in a written form. Authority is also expected to soon make an official announcement regarding these directives.

 

Authority has number of projects which are running behind their scheduled time like construction of sector 1, 3, 5 underground parking, construction of bus terminal in sector 80, expansion of Shahdara drain , SCST hostel , Nari Niketan , Shilp Haat and many others. Some of the projects are late by more than one year and such delays are also expected to delay the budget. As of now authority is already having budget troubles owing to a number of past issues. These unnecessary delays in projects will further burden the authority with avoidable expanses.

 

From now onward weekly meetings will be held of project circles and a work review will be conducted on time to time basis. Noida Authority is now attempting to complete the over-delayed projects on priority, however the effect of such directives would only be comprehensible after any positive change in ground situation.
