Infosys announces Software Development Centre in Noida, will give job to 5000 people

Noida : Giving a huge boost to IT job segment of Noida, Indian giant Infosys announced a software development center in Noida.

Indian IT giant Infosys Ltd said on Sunday that it would build a software development centre in Noida in Uttar Pradesh, with an initial investment of about 7.5 billion rupees.

Infosys remains one of the biggest employer for IT sector of India and given the fact that Greater Noida-Noida combined have huge number of engineering colleges, the upcoming project of Infosys may provide enhanced employment opportunity to the IT students of the region.

India’s second-biggest software services exporter has said that the 2.7 million square feet facility would be able to provide employment opportunity to about 5,000 people.

“The facility is a critical part of our effort to enhance our presence in the national capital region and leverage the talent pool available in this market,” Chief Executive Officer Salil Parekh said in a statement.

At present while most IT companies have a presence in the region, HCL remains biggest IT company to be operating in Noida.

This month Infosys retained its 6 to 8 percent revenue growth outlook for the fiscal year to March, with Parekh making upbeat comments about demand for the company’s services in key markets the United States and Europe.
