Ten News Exclusive: I-T Department Releases Doctors List Raided In Uttar Pradesh!

India, (19/1/2019): Government of India is regularly taking steps to take the black money back from the defaulters. Regular raids by the income tax departments can be seen from last two years after demonetization.
One such raid was performed by the income tax department on the doctors in Uttar Pradesh. The income tax department raided seven doctors from several parts of Uttar Pradesh. They have also seized some huge amount of black money from the doctors.
Generally, Books of accounts are manipulated for declaring less income in their Returns of Income in comparison to their actual income earned. Accordingly, unaccounted Investments in assets are also found.
General modus operandi of suppression of receipts are found like receipts from patients on daily basis is not shown correctly in books of accounts for the purpose of filing their Returns of Income.
The doctors who were raided by the Income Tax Department are mentioned below:
1. Dr Ratan Singh from Charak Hospital, surrendered his unaccounted income of Rs 25 CR. Investments in assets are under Investigation.
2. Dr Rajiv Motiani, Neurophysician, Unaccounted Cash of RS. 58 Lakhs has been seized from the residence of Dr Rajiv Motiani. Two lockers found from his residence are yet to be operated which are stated to be containing unaccounted Jewellery.
3. Dr Gulab Gupta, Physician of Neo Hospital, Noida, Unaccounted Cash of Rs. 20 Lakhs has been seized from the residence of Dr Gulab Gupta. Lockers are yet to be operated.
4. Dr Ankit Sharma / GS Medical College & Hospital, Hapur, Evidences of suppression of receipts and unaccounted investments are found. Cash of RS. 38 Lakhs and jewellery of 4 kg are found which are unaccounted. Two lockers found are yet to be operated. He have surrendered unaccounted income of Rs 7.5 Cr.
5. Dr Prem Kumar Khanna, Paediatrician, Moradabad, Seizure of cash & jewellery of Rs 1.18 Cr, Operation of 5 Lockers found yet to be done.
6. Dr Bhupendra Chaudhry, Neurophysician, Meerut, Unaccounted cash of Rs 13 Lakhs have been seized from his residence. Five lockers found are yet to be operated which are stated to be containing jewellery. Suppression of huge income in sale of medicines in M/s Prakash Drugs Agency has been detected. Unaccounted Investments in palatial bungalow is to be ascertained which may exceed Rs 4 cr.
7. Dr Mahesh Chandra Sharma, SPM Hospital, Kanpur / Lucknow, Evidences of suppression of receipts are found. Unaccounted cash of Rs 7 Lakhs has been seized. Unaccounted Investments is assets are being investigated. Siphoning of trust fund for personal purposes has been detected.
