Union Minister Mahesh Sharma highlights development drive of Western UP region

Union Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma on Saturday welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Greater Noida during the inauguration of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Archaeological Institute and highlighted various development projects brought by BJP government in the region.



Terming the last five years as golden era of development for Western UP, Union Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma said, “Since Prime Minister Modi took the responsibility of Central Government, people of Western UP including Noida and Greater Noida have been benefited greatly by various development projects.”

“Many projects such as redevelopment of Botanical Garden, connecting Noida to South Delhi through Violent line metro, food park, Noida-Greater Noida Metro have been added in the region in recent past,” he said.

Dr. Mahesh Sharma also said that the power plant in Khurja who’s foundation stone has been laid today will provide 60% of electricity production to the region, hence meeting the future demands.

Union Minister Sharma also spoke about his dream project of Jewar Airport, work for which is going on and the construction is expected to begin soon.

Also present during the event were Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Noida MLA Pankaj Singh, Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh among others.
