Area Near Noida International Airport to be developed as ‘Aviation Hub’

Greater Noida (04/05/2019) : Noida International Airport will not only be an Airport but will have it’s own aviation hub that will have almost all facility that a smart city has. As Yamuna Expressway Industrial Developmental Authority is planning a city site development of the airport. For this a project report has already been submitted by Ernst & Young to YEDIA.
Detailing about the project findings Arun Veer Singh CEO YEIDA told that “We are planning to develop a smart city along with Jewar Airport that will compliment the needs of mega airport. The city will be developed in 2000 acre out which 40% area will be green belt taking care of flora and fauna.”
“Prime objective of this city will be Human capital development, training facilities, job creation, up gradation of infrastructure to fulfill the local needs and also to cater 60 lacs passengers that airport will witness annually when it will be operational in 2022. City will have a very good connectivity with NCR region through metro, elevated road and rapid rail even inside the People will don’t need use private vehicles for commuting.” He said.
Officials said Ernst & Young also conducted a study of the world’s leading airports, including Istanbul airport in Turkey , Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport Netherlands, Singapore’s Changi Airport , Incheon International Airport, Korea and incorporated the findings in the project report. Some projects like golf course, Leisure Park, entertainment centers, yoga facilities, musical water fountain, Butterfly Park, skill development centers, Agricultural Mandi for Farmers are also under consideration in this aviation hub.
YEIDA will form an internal committee to further study of report and seek expert opinions and also public opinion before proceeding further for its implementation. Once elections are over and model code of conduct lifted off YEIDA will float a global tender to hire a developer.
