Navratan Foundations performs at ongoing World Book Fair for consecutively second time

New Delhi : On 6th January, Navratan Foundations’ musical band ‘Gandharv’ gave its performance at the ongoing World Book Fair at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. This is second time when the Navratan Foundations got opportunity to perform in the Asia’s biggest book fair.
Gandharv band gave musical performances on numerous bollywood numbers like ‘Mere sapano ki rani, Gullabi ankhein, Dum Maro Dum.’ Artist with their melodious singing made audience to tap their feets. Sanjay Pandey, Debu Mukherkee, Someshwar Sharma, Pankaj Mathur, Kapil Tiwari, Mohit Sharma with Singing sensation Tuhina Chatterjee performed at the event.
Founder of the Navratan Foundations Ashok Srivastava interacted with Ten News and said, “It’s a proud moment for us that we are getting opportunity to perform at such a big book festival and that too for consecutively second time.”
Further listing down the work done by his NGO, he said “Now we are running 34 weaving centres across the city which is giving employment to the hundred of womens. We are also running a school providing free of cost education to 126 underprivileged children’s in the area.

Since 4th January, Delhi’s Pragati Maidan is hosting 28th edition of the NDWBF that will run for nine days. This year the the theme for NDWBF 2020 is ‘Gandhi: The Writers’ Writer’. The theme aims to highlight the influence of Mahatma Gandhi on Indian literature and some major authors of India as well as abroad.
