Foreign buyers shower praise on quality of Indian products at IFJAS and IIGF

Greater Noida, 24 June 2022: During the 16th edition of Indian Fashion, Jewellery and Accessories Show (IFJAS) and 67th edition of Indian International Garment Fair (IIGF), Ten News spoke to several foreign bulk buyers to understand their requirements and their experience at the fair.
B Singh, a foreign bulk buyer from the Netherlands who has been buying from India for over 30 years said that IIGF 2022 is a good initiative for the future of textile in India.
“We have come here to check out the collection as we buy a lot of stuff from India. We give ideas and learn about others’ ideas as well. With such collaborations we help in the country’s progress and grow business in the European sphere as well,” he added.
When asked about his preference for Indian products, he stated, “Silk products mixed with polyester are the best selling in European countries and India is the top country selling these products. We are very happy to have Indian exporters for our support.” He rated the fair 9 out of 10, stating that there are certain people who participate in the fair who take orders but are unable to supply later.
Another bulk buyer from the United Kingdom, Zain Memon said that they are natively from India and want to stay connected to the land. Rating the fair 10 out of 10, he stated, “IIGF 2022 is an amazing initiative and it is very well organised. Lalit Thukral is also very hospitable and we all feel very welcomed here.”
“We have been coming here to IIGF for the past few years. We must say that it keeps on improving and have new ideas, products with outstanding quality,” said bulk buyers from Italy.
The Italian buyers also complemented Lalit Thukral and the entire team for organising the fair. “Every year, the people here have new ideas, good quality silk and products with style and prints. It is always good doing business with India,” he said.
“Quality and production in India are the best in the world. We are here to look for good quality summer collection apparel and accessories,” they added. Although they stated that people at the fair are very kind and welcoming, they do not prefer Indian food and requested Continental food, and they laughed.
The bulk buyers from Australia also believed that the IIGF 2022 is a great initiative. “These People had two years for ideation, designing, changing things and we can see good results of it,” they said.
Rating the fair 10/10, they stated that the Indian products have really different and attractive colours, beautiful cotton and silk pieces with nice prints. Also, the people here are very kind and welcoming.
With such positive and encouraging thoughts, the foreign bulk buyers were motivated to do business with India. They also expressed gratitude to the Chairman of IGFA, Lalit Thukral and the entire team for the well-organized and welcoming fair.
