Infosys Q2 net profit rises 11 per cent to Rs 6,021 crore

October 13, Bengaluru: Infosys, India’s second-largest IT services provider, said on Thursday that its consolidated net profit increased by 11.1% year on year to Rs 6,021 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, up from Rs 5,421 crore in the same time last year.

The company’s revenue from operations increased by 23.4 percent to Rs 36,538 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2022, compared to Rs 29,602 crore in the previous year’s similar quarter.

Sequentially, Infosys revenue climbed by 6%, while net profits improved by 12.3% year on year during the period under review.

“Our strong large deal wins and steady all-round growth in Q2 reflect the deep relevance and differentiation of our digital and cloud solutions for clients as they navigate their business transformation,” Infosys chief executive officer and managing director Salil Parekh said in a statement.

“While concerns around the economic outlook persist, our demand pipeline is strong as clients remain confident in our ability to deliver the value they seek, both on the growth and efficiency of their businesses. This is reflected in our revised revenue guidance of 15-16 per cent for FY 23,” Parekh said.
