Imphal, 28th May 2023: Indian Army chief of staff General Manoj Pande landed at the Imphal airport on Sunday afternoon, following a fresh bout of violence in the state.
He arrived in the state after the Union Minister of state (home) Nityanand Rai has been stationed in the city since Thursday. The leaders are expected to take stock of the security arrangements and provisions in the state.
The two also met with the state governor Anusuiya Uikey and held consultations about the current situation.
The Army Chief of Staff General Manoj Pande, is also expected to meet with CM N Biren Singh and the state security advisor Kuldiep Singh.
