National News (20/08/2025): Noida based Goal Hunterz FC, the dynamic futsal club representing Delhi, has etched its name in history by winning the prestigious AIFF Futsal Club Championship 2024-25, defeating Bhawanipore FC from Kolkata with a thrilling 4-2 victory in the finals. The grand finale was held at the Shri Manoj Sarkar Stadium, Shivalik Hall, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.
Led by captain Ansh Gupta and guided by Head Coach Dhirendra Singh along with Assistant Coach Shibun Dash, Goal Hunterz FC showcased exceptional skill, teamwork and determination throughout the tournament. The team remained unbeaten, playing three group stage matches, followed by a dominant run in the quarterfinals, semifinals and ultimately, the finals.
Individual brilliance further highlighted the team’s success:
•Aleef Rahman Mollah was awarded Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
•Mahip Adhikari was honored as the Best Player of the Tournament.
Remarkably, Goal Hunterz FC’s squad was made up entirely of Delhi-based players, underlining the strength of local talent and the club’s commitment to promoting football at the grassroots level.
The tournament began on August 3, 2025, and brought together some of the finest futsal clubs from across India. Goal Hunterz FC’s triumph not only adds to Delhi’s sporting legacy but also reinforces their standing as a powerhouse in Indian futsal.
