ITS Engineering College organises 20th Orientation for newly admitted students for B.Tech Ist year
The Department of Applied Science and Humanities of I.T.S. Engineering College, Greater Noida, organised the 20th Orientation Function for its new batch of B.Tech. 2025-29 on 4th September at Sardar Patel Auditorium. The event was conceived with the objective of not only welcoming the first year students to the family but also preparing them for the journey of professional excellence, professional and holistic learning. The event was formally commenced by Dr. Deepa Singh (Professor, Department of Applied Science & Humanities) who extended a warm welcome to the students and highlighted the contributions of the Institute and the role of its eminent dignitaries in making the college one of the leading educational hubs of Northen India. Additionally, she also shared about the establishment, objectives, vision and mission of the college.
The function was honoured by the Chief Guest – Jameel Ahmad, Deputy Secretary, Department of Finance, N.P.A. Harsh Raj Jain, Head of the Department – Asia Pacific and America, EBIX and Special Guest Dr. S.P. Mishra, Advisor to I.T.S. – The Education Group.
The function was graced by the distinguished officials of I.T.S. Engineering College: Chairman – Dr. R.P. Chadha, Vice President – Sohil Chadha, Secretary – B.K. Arora, Director – Public Relations – Surinder Sood, Director -Dr. Mayank Garg, Dean Academics -Dr. Vishnu Sharma and Dean Student Welfare – Dr. Sanjay Yadav along with
Head of the Department – Dr. O.P. Chaudhary and heads of other departments and faculty members.
Dr. Vishnu Sharma welcomed the newly admitted students and encouraged them to be ‘influential and innovative leaders’. He concluded his speech with a couplet by Lord Shri Krishna.
The event was further enriched by the informative sessions presented by the eminent chief guest, Jameel Ahmad- Retd. Deputy Secretary, Noida Authority by quoting the example of the protagonist of the movie, ‘12th FAIL’, Manoj Kumar Sharma who transformed his life into ‘bed of roses’ from ‘bed of thorns’ by his sheer determination, dedication, discipline and hard work. He inspired the students to hone their values, behaviour, conduct and mental philosophy and concluded his speech with a couplet.
“Sanwar jaye toh Swarg,
Naa Sanware toh Tamasha hai”
The Guest of Honour, Jain had a unique way of interacting with the students which impressed the students. He emphasized to be updated with research and recent developments of technology that appealed to the students.
These sessions bridged the gap between academic learning and professional expectations. Each speaker wishes dynamic demands of industry, role of innovation in career success and problem-solving, and leadership that instills in them the importance of developing employable skills.
All the guests were presented with momentos as a token of gratitude and respect.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks on a very positive note to provide future career prospects and connect education with emerging technological trends.
Dignitaries such as guest speakers, faculty members, volunteers and students were invited to participate in the event.
