COA-EPCH UNANIMOUSLY ELECTS RAJESH JAIN AS ITS NEW VICE-CHAIRMAN
The 141st meeting of Committee of Administration of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) held recently in New Delhi. In this meeting, the members of COA-EPCH unanimously elected Mr. Rajesh Kumar Jain f M/s Exmart International Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi as its new Vice Chairman.
The New Vice-Chairman, Mr. Rajesh said, “keeping in line with the growth of exports of handicrafts in the first six months of the current financial year which is Rs. 11,360.95 crores, it is expected that the target fixed for the year 2014-15 i.e. Rs. 27035 crores will be surpassed.
The Handicrafts exports have been growing on an average annual growth rate of 15% during the last decade. The exports of handicrafts during the year 2013-14 was Rs. 23,504.42 showing a growth of 30.80% in rupee terms and 17.55% in dollars terms.
Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts[EPCH] is a nodal agency for promotion and development of handicrafts from the Country.
