Gautam Buddha University Partners with Monash University to Boost Global Academic Collaboration

Greater Noida News (17/03/2026): In a significant step toward strengthening international academic ties, Gautam Buddha University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Monash University, one of Australia’s leading higher education institutions based in Clayton, Victoria.

Monash University, recognized as a modern, research-intensive global institution, is ranked 36th in the QS World University Rankings and is counted among the top five universities in Australia. The partnership marks a major milestone in GBU’s efforts to expand its global footprint in education and research.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by key academic leaders from both institutions. Representing GBU were Vice Chancellor Prof. Rana Pratap Singh, Dean Academics Prof. Rajeev Varshney, Dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Madhav Govind, and Dean of School of Biotechnology Prof. Dhanalakshmi, along with other deans. From Monash University, Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Chris Jeffrey, Prof. Deana Leahy, and other faculty members joined the event virtually.

The agreement outlines several key areas of collaboration, including joint initiatives in teacher training and professional development, as well as opportunities for collaborative research in areas of shared academic interest. It also emphasizes faculty exchange and interaction to enhance capabilities in both teaching and research.

Officials noted that this partnership will pave the way for a range of academic activities such as joint research projects, seminars, workshops, and training programs. The collaboration is expected to create valuable opportunities for both students and faculty members by enhancing research exposure, academic exchange, and skill development.

The MoU will serve as a framework for sustained cooperation between the two universities, particularly in the areas of capacity building, academic advancement, and research innovation, further strengthening their commitment to global education excellence.
