ICSSR-Funded Research Methodology Programme Concludes at Gautam Buddha University

Greater Noida News (19/03/2026): A ten-day Research Methodology Course (RMC), sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, concluded on a high note at Gautam Buddha University with a formal valedictory session, marking the successful completion of an intensive academic initiative focused on advancing research skills in social sciences and interdisciplinary domains.
The programme was designed to enhance participants’ understanding of contemporary research practices and methodologies. Presenting the course report, Course Director Dr. Chintala Venkata Sivasai elaborated on the structure and objectives of the programme. He highlighted that the participants underwent rigorous training in research design, methodological frameworks, data analysis techniques, and academic writing. He also emphasized the integration of emerging tools, including Artificial Intelligence, in modern research practices.
Delivering the special address, Prof. S. Dhanalakshmi, Dean of the School of Biotechnology, commended the successful execution of the programme. She expressed optimism that such initiatives would significantly contribute to strengthening academic research standards and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
In his presidential address, Registrar Prof. Chander Kumar Singh underscored the increasing relevance of Artificial Intelligence in higher education and research. He pointed out that AI is playing a transformative role across disciplines, including social sciences and philosophy, by reshaping traditional research methodologies and influencing knowledge creation.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof. R. C. Pradhan, former Member Secretary of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research. He provided a balanced perspective on the use of Artificial Intelligence in academic research, acknowledging its potential while also drawing attention to its inherent limitations. He stressed the importance of ethical considerations and called for a responsible and thoughtful adoption of technology in scholarly work.
The programme saw enthusiastic participation from research scholars representing institutions from across the country, highlighting its national outreach and interdisciplinary importance.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Chintala Venkata Sivasai, who also serves as Head of the School of Buddhist Studies and Civilization and Director of International Affairs at the university. The valedictory session was conducted by Dr. Anand, who efficiently anchored the proceedings as the Master of Ceremonies.
