Greater Noida News (15 September 2026): Global construction equipment major LiuGong has made a strong impact at EXCON 2026 in Greater Noida with the launch of a new range of heavy-duty excavators and electric construction equipment. The company has introduced three new excavators in the 21-ton, 23-ton and 50-ton categories, along with four new electric loaders, further expanding its portfolio of next-generation construction machinery for the Indian market.
The launches come as BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026 gets underway at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The international exhibition, being held from September 15 to 18, brings together leading global and Indian players from the construction machinery, mining equipment, building material machinery and construction vehicle sectors.
LiuGong Expands Heavy-Duty Excavator Portfolio
Speaking to Ten News Network, Soumyaranjan Dash, Head of Dealer Development and Brand Marketing, SDLG India, said LiuGong has introduced excavators across multiple operating categories at the exhibition.
The new lineup includes a 21-ton excavator, a 23-ton heavy-duty excavator and a 50-ton excavator, aimed at meeting the requirements of demanding construction, infrastructure and heavy-duty applications.
Alongside the excavators, LiuGong has also unveiled four new electric loaders, highlighting the company’s growing focus on electrification and cleaner construction equipment.
The company also showcased a cradle loader as part of its broader machinery portfolio at the event.
Electric Construction Equipment Becomes a Key Focus
Electrification is emerging as one of the major themes of LiuGong’s latest product strategy.
Dash said the company is working on multiple electric and battery-powered solutions as technology continues to evolve across the construction equipment industry.
Its technology portfolio includes EV and battery-powered machines, as well as cable-powered electric excavators. These technologies are being developed to address changing customer requirements and the industry’s increasing focus on efficiency, operating costs and sustainable equipment.
The growing presence of electric machines also reflects the wider shift taking place in India’s construction and infrastructure equipment market.
LiuGong Strengthens Its India Strategy
LiuGong has been operating in India for approximately 15 years and is now working towards developing a dedicated setup to strengthen its presence in the Indian market.
According to Dash, this is the first time LiuGong has participated at EXCON under the LiuGong brand, and the company has received an encouraging response from customers and industry visitors.

He said Indian customers are increasingly looking for reliable, high-quality and technologically advanced construction equipment, which has contributed to the positive response to LiuGong’s latest product lineup.
Manufacturing Facility in Development
LiuGong is also strengthening its manufacturing footprint in India.
Dash said the company’s manufacturing plant is currently being established and that an official announcement regarding the facility is expected soon.
The development is expected to support LiuGong’s long-term strategy for the Indian market as demand for advanced construction and infrastructure equipment continues to grow.
New Technology for a Changing Construction Industry
According to Dash, construction equipment technology is evolving rapidly, and manufacturers need to continuously adapt their products to changing market requirements.
LiuGong is therefore focusing on introducing new technologies across its equipment portfolio, particularly in the areas of electric mobility, battery-powered machinery and advanced construction equipment.
The company’s latest launches at EXCON 2026 demonstrate its efforts to combine heavy-duty performance with newer electric and sustainable technologies.
With its new 21-ton, 23-ton and 50-ton excavators, four electric loaders and expanding EV technology portfolio, LiuGong is positioning itself to play a larger role in India’s rapidly evolving construction equipment market.
The EXCON 2026 showcase marks another significant step in LiuGong’s India strategy, with the company increasingly focusing on localisation, advanced technology, electrification and products tailored to the needs of Indian customers.
