A 28-year-old man shot himself dead after killing his lover in his car in Greater Noida

A 28-year-old man shot himself dead after killing his lover in his car in Sector Omega in Greater Noida on Saturday, police said. The two had reportedly recently been married to different people against their wishes.

According to the police, Sachin Sharma, 28, and Priya Tyagi, 26, lived in Bhangel in Noida. They knew each other from school and also attended college together in Greater Noida.

The cops said the two were in love with each other and wanted to marry, but their families were against it. Sachin’s family married him to someone in Noida two months ago while Priya got married to a Delhi resident on February 7.

Priya had gone to visit her parents some days ago when Sachin called her and asked her to meet him. He took her to Greater Noida in a Scorpio, which he had been gifted at his wedding.

A police team reached the spot and rushed Sachin to a Kailash  hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Priya was taken to Yatharth  hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The police said it was a spontaneous attack and no suicide note was found.

Both the bodies have been sent for autopsy.
