He started his address by applauding the achievements of the chief guest for the event and said, “Everyone becomes miss but you won the title of misses, it’s a great achievement. Women day is not like valentine’s day, it has a long history of women’s struggling for their rights. The seeds were planted in 1908, when 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter working hours, better pay and the right to vote. It was the Socialist Party of America who declared the first National Woman’s Day, in 1909.”

Further, he praised the efforts of the nurses as Corona Warriors for their selfless services during the period of the pandemic. “They left their small children’s at home and worked day and night for us. Without women, nothing is possible and that’s why we need to respect them and thank them for their unconditional efforts.”

Kirti Mishra Narang during her speech said, “It’s true that ‘God dwells where we worship women’ and it’s also true that families, societies or nations post progress only if they respect their women. Women’s are not just half the population but it’s the mother of the population. The most important thing that’s need to be done is that we have to change the mindset, don’t discriminate between girl and boy. This is how a day will come when we will not need to celebrate Women’s day, instead we will be celebrating empowered women’s day”.

Program was graced by the guest of honour Shri Suresh Kumar , Prof Sharad Agarwal , Group Director , Dr Pankaj Kumar , Deans , Faculties and students
