A smart school built in Greater Noida at a cost of ₹1.30 crore | Operation Kayakalp

Greater Noida, March 17:

The Yogi government is rapidly modernizing council schools under Operation Kayakalp Yojana, turning them into state-of-the-art education centers. As part of this initiative, a hi-tech school built at a cost of Rs 1.30 crore in Mathurapur, Greater Noida, will be inaugurated on March 19. State Minister of Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh will inaugurate this milestone project, marking a new era in Uttar Pradesh’s school infrastructure development.

The Yogi government’s priority is not just to open more schools but to improve their quality. To promote modern education and prepare students for global competition, smart classrooms, digital boards, laboratories, inclusive education facilities, and hygiene and health management have been specially integrated. Currently, 90 students are enrolled in this school, but the government aims to increase admissions to over 150 in the upcoming session. With this initiative, government schools are now being equipped with high-end facilities similar to private schools, ensuring equal opportunities for all students.

This newly constructed school offers smart classrooms, where every class is equipped with digital boards and smart learning tools to enhance the education experience. Special attention has been given to hygiene and health, with purified drinking water provided through RO and water filters. Separate restrooms have been built for boys and girls to ensure cleanliness and convenience.

Security measures have also been prioritized. Each classroom has two doors to facilitate quick evacuation in case of emergencies. A separate building has been constructed for mid-day meals, allowing students to eat comfortably. Additionally, the school provides dedicated spaces for sports and laboratories, promoting both physical activity and hands-on scientific learning.

The Yogi government is focusing on inclusive education by developing special facilities for differently-abled students. This school has been designed as a ‘Divyang-friendly school’ to ensure that children with special needs receive education without any barriers. Ramps, railings, and assistive devices have been installed to enhance accessibility. Specially trained teachers are also being appointed to cater to the unique needs of these students. This inclusive education initiative will help divyang students integrate into mainstream education without discrimination, empowering them to become self-reliant.

Alongside education, the Yogi government is also promoting environmental conservation. This school has been built following the Green School model, emphasizing the conservation of natural resources and sustainable development principles. During construction, no trees were cut, and additional tree plantations were carried out to maintain a green and pollution-free environment for students.

Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh stated that, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas policy, a plan has been devised to ensure equal education for every child. To integrate divyang students into mainstream education, new facilities are being added to council schools. The Mathurapur school is a prime example of this policy, offering ramps, inclusive classrooms, and other essential amenities to ensure quality education for all students without any hindrance.
