New Delhi – 6th May, 2020 – EPCH organised a webinar on “Positivity and Wellbeing – Wellness through willingness” on 5th May, 20 which was the need of the hour during lockdown due Covid 2019.

Dr. Era Dutta, MD, Psychiatry & MBBS, a winner of Torrent Young Psychiatrists award and Consultant Neuropsychiatrist & Life Wellness Coach from Fortis Healthcare, Kolkata was the expert faculty of the webinar.

Shri Ravi K. Passi, Chairman – EPCH, Shri O.P. Prahladka, COA member-EPCH and owner of Hitaishi KK Manfacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata, Mr. Prince Malik, COA member- EPCH, Shri Avdesh Agarwal, Shree Sai De Art, Moradabad, Secretary, Moradabad Handicrafts Exporters Association and Shri R.K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH alongwith 300 participants joined from all across the country.

While giving the presentation on the subject Dr. Era Dutta spoke on the need to remain focused and positive during this difficult times and a prioritize the things in one’s life so as to overcome the challenges. She also asked the participants to stay away from negativity as any negative thought can affect positive thinking. She stressed on the need to manage stress as stress is bound to happen and stress is not always negative but it is one who manages the stress well succeeds in life. She urged the participants to spend more time with family, develop some hobby, pick up some skill and stay focused.

Dr. Era Dutta said that positivity has four pillars i.e. cognitive positivity, sensory positivity, physical and emotional positivity. There is novelty in every situation and people can remain positive by searching what they have learnt during difficult time. She said this Covid 2019 has taught us many goods things such as to be hygiene, yoga and exercises, people are learning skills, all family members are sharing the household working and spending time with family members, new innovations are being learnt.

While addressing the participants in the webinar Shri R.K. Passi, Chairman – EPCH –said despite all the challenges faced by the exporters, there are positivities to be drawn from the situation and the current crisis has brought us closer to the nature and we have started appreciating the beauty of it more than ever before.

Mr. O.P. Prahaladka, COA Member – EPCH and owner of Hitaishi KK Manfacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata, said that lockdown has taught how to manage life with little source with discipline and physical exercise.

Shri Avdesh Agarwal, Shree Sai De Art, Moradabad appreciated Dr. Era Dutta for boosting the morale of all by her very positive presentation and also shared his thought that how the lock down has shown us to value smaller things in life and despite having all the facilities and resources, we cannot use them. This covid 2019 has bring us closure to our family and given us time to do self assessment. He said that apart from doing exercise and yoga, we should read good books to remain positive. He advised the fellow exporters not to think about balance sheet and do the charity for the workers working under them and thank almighty for keeping us safe.

Mr. Prince Malik Mr. Prince Malik, COA member- EPCH while appreciating Dr. Era Dutta and Mr. Awdesh for elaborating how to remain stress free during lockdown and shared his thought and said being an exporter he can say that every one has different kind of stress based on their size of business but the same can be reduced by doing creative things which he has tried to do with his fellow exporters friends such as writing of poems, learning music, doing exercise, learning graphics etc.

Mr. Prince Malik also said that this lockdown has taught us truthfulness, honesty, moderation, cleanliness and taught us to be humble and kind towards needy and animals.

Mr. R.K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH said that the subject of the seminar on POSITIVITY AND WELLBEING through willingness was the need of the hour since because of the situation, we are unable to do certain things which add to our stress but it has made us more innovative as EPCH was not able organize 49th edition of IHGF-Delhi Fair due to this lock down but looking forward, the council is doing it in a virtual mode. He also agreed with other panelists that this lock down has brought everyone close to their family members.
