New Delhi: There was a time when AAP Senior Leader Saurabh Bharadwaj wanted just one EVM from the Election Commission, to demonstrate that EVM’s could be hacked. EC ofcourse dismissed the request, claiming EVM’s were sacrosanct and the challenge fizzled out.

With just few hours left, when the Election Commission of India will begin counting votes for 542 constituencies. Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday, requested the EC to verify VVPAT slips of random polling booths before starting the counting of votes. Decision of Election Commission without verifying VVPAT will lead to disaster, its a recipe for mass riots. It can lead to Civil War.

Addressing the Media, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said,

“Election Commission says counting will be delayed if VVPAT slips are counted before. If Indians could wait for 42 days then surely some hours wouldn’t hurt.
While one polling booth is randomly selected for VVPAT slips counting, there is no guideline to cancel the elections if VVPAT paper slip Count doesnot match EVM count.”

He further said, “If you first let political parties know the Winner & Loser, then will Winner allow elections to be set aside after VVPAT mismatch. Decision of Election Commission will lead to disaster, its a recipe for mass riots. It can lead to Civil War.”

Bhardwaj further targeted, BJP & Congress for settling the dispute between BJP Leader Vijender Gupta and Sheila Dikshit the over alleged misuse of government funds by former Delhi CM in the 2008 assembly polls, he said, both the parties who always fight against each other now are bonding, that’s really strange.
