‘ad-wrapped’ Delhi Metro trains – DMRC discovers alternative sources of revenue

After a delay of about three weeks, the second externally ‘ad-wrapped’ Delhi Metro train is going to start operations this week.

The train is slated to run on Line 2, which connects North Delhi’s Jahangirpuri to Gurgaon’s Huda City Centre and is considered one of the busiest sections on the Metro network.

The exclusive advertising rights, valid for 10 years, have been given to two agencies that will pay an annual licence fee to the metro.
