India’s apex football body, All India Football Federation (AIFF), on Saturday suspended tournaments at all levels till March 31 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
All I-League matches have been suspended from Sunday onwards.
“Adhering to the advisories issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and directives from several State Governments, all footballing activities under the aegis of AIFF stay suspended till March 31, 2020,” All India Football Federation said.
The pandemic has hit global sport, with tournaments around the world being postponed, suspended or being forced to be played in empty stadiums. The BCCI has also postponed the IPL till April 15.
