Mumbai (09/06/2023): Akshay Kumar has returned with an update on his next film OMG 2. On Friday, the actor shared a new poster of himself from the movie. Along with this as he also shared release date.
OMG 2 will be released in theatres on August 11, this year. The graphic, which Akshay Kumar published on Instagram only an hours ago, has already gone viral. It depicts him in a never-before-seen outfit inspired by Lord Shiva.
While sharing the poster, Akshay Wrote, “Aa rahe hai hum, aayega aap bhi [we are coming, you are also invited]. August 11. In theatres. #OMG2.”
In response to Akshay Kumar’s post, vocalist B Praak, who has worked with him numerous occasions, left red heart and flame icons in the comments section.
The making of the movie was initially announced in October 2021 along with two posters for the movie. Sharing those posters Akshay had asked for everyone’s blessing.
He had written, “Need your blessings and wishes for OMG 2, our honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue. May the eternal energy of Adiyogi bless us through this journey. Har Har Mahadev.”
Amit Rai wrote and directed OMG 2. It is the follow-up to the 2012 film OMG – Oh My God, starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
The first chapter tells the narrative of Kanji Lalji Mehta (Paresh Rawal), who sues God for the loss of his shop during an earthquake. Mithun Chakraborty, Govind Namdev, and late actor Om Puri appeared in supporting roles.
