Ambala, 18th May 2023: BJP MP from Ambala, Rattan Lal Kataria passed away in Chandigarh earlier today.
His wife, Banto Kataria, announced the news from a Chandigarh hospital today, where he was admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and was in a critical condition.
Leaders across the state are offering their condolences to the grieving family. State CM Manohar Lal Khattar took to Twitter and said that his demise is an ‘irreparable loss to politics.’ He further remembered how the Ambala representative never shied away from raising his voice for the betterment of his people and the welfare of the society.
Earlier on Wednesday, former Tripura CM and BJP in-charge for Haryana, Biplab Kumar Deb, visited the Chandigarh PGI to inquire about the condition of the MP and prayed for his speedy recovery.
He further took to Twitter today and said the leader’s willpower ‘was very strong even in his last moments’ when he visited him yesterday.
