Pak Army Chief warns Imran Khan supporters against violent protests

Islamabad, 18th May 2023: Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) issued a stern warning to the revolting public across Pakistan.

The leader issued the statement referring to the ‘planned and orchestrated incidents’ of May 9, on the day the military installations were attacked in the country. He vowed that such a calamity would never be allowed again at any cost.

Addressing the crowd during his visit to the Sialkot Garrison he added that no one is allowed to disrespect the country’s martyrs and their monuments. They serve as a source of inspiration and pride for the rank and file of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies and government officials in general.

‘The armed forces would not tolerate any further attempt to violate the sanctity and security of its installations or vandalism,’ he added.

People across Pakistan have taken to the street, calling for an end to the unchecked powers of the country’s military and in support of the ousted leader Imran Khan.

Khan was arrested on corruption and bribery charges and is set to appear in court today for the same.
