Mr Kejriwal and several members of Team Anna were recipients of the Magsasay Award. It is time to question what the Magsasay Award is all about.

“It is an award instituted by the Philippines government, but endowed by Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. It is given only to those who facilitate the penetration of international corporate funds. The anti-corruption rhetoric was nothing but a foreign government effort to destabilize India but making its citizens disillusioned of the democratic system. Kejriwal was liberally funded by them so that he could build a huge image of himself as a messiah of the masses while they proved their loyalty only to the US government’s agenda in India,” Dr Harsh Vardhan.,

The US and its multilateral institutions want a favourable, transparently weak government in India. They would love to have a pliable leader like him at the helm.

He said that as Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, he had observed Kejriwal from up close and therefore feels entitled to warn the people of India about a man who is promising them impossible things.

“He is an irresponsible maverick who has no business to ask for people’s votes because he is not interested in governing. Delhi, being India’s capital, needs a leader with a broad vision and Narendra Modi is the man of the hour,” Dr Harsh Vardhan said.
