Ayurveda is India’s gift to world: Dr Mahesh Sharma | Global Ayurvedic Summit | Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College

Greater Noida, (07 October, 2023): Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre organised a Global Ayurved Summit 2023 on ayurveda – the science of life. Ambassadors and High Commissioners from many countries participated in this seminar, which turned out to be a historical feat in the history of ayurveda.

Former Union MoS and Member of Parliament from Gautam Buddha Nagar constituency, Dr Mahesh Sharma attended the event as Chief Guest and lauded the efforts of the organisers. He also felicitated Ambassadors and High Commissioners.

Addressing the attendees, he said, “I feel proud that this major event is happening in my constituency and that too in the oldest and finest Institute of the region. India is the home for Ayurveda and Yoga, but this is used by whole world. As the nominee of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Member of parliament of this constituency, I feel it is an honour to be amongst you all .”

“As a former Minister of tourism, culture, environment, I have visited many countries. Having experience of 40 to 45 years in allopathic medicines, I do understand the importance of Ayurveda and yoga, this is the future of medical practices not only in India but worldwide. We have 10 hospitals in which two hospitals have facilities of Ayurveda, naturopathy and yoga, and they are playing important role in the healing process,” he added.

Talking about Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre, he lauded it’s innovative approach and said, “I also feel privileged to have a long association with this institute. And the students coming out from this institute will not be carrying only the degree they will be carrying the philanthropy traditions and values of Indian culture which is recognised by worldwide diaspora.”

Dr Sharma also noted that Gautam Buddha Nagar was now in the eyes of world, with the coming of Noida International Airport which will become operational early next year and further reinforce the international city tag of Noida-Greater Noida.

The seminar also witnessed the brainstorming talks by experts, ambassadors and high commissioners. Summit also had exhibition and live demos and tour of botanical garden at the campus.
