Ayushman Bharat scheme would be a real boon for the poor and needy: Venkaiah Naidu

The Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu addressing the 1st Convocation of Homeopathy University, in Jaipur, Rajasthan today said that Ayushman Bharat scheme would be a real boon for the poor and needy.

The Minister for Health, Rajasthan, Kali Charan Saraf, the Member of Parliament from Rajasthan and President of Sponsoring Society of Homeopathy University. Manoj Rajoria and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Addressing the Gathering, Vice-President, M. Venkaiah Naidu said,

“Unaffordable healthcare was a serious social handicap and Ayushman Bharat scheme would be a real boon for the poor and needy sections of the society. Homeopathy fits the bill as an alternative system of medicine, there was immense scope for preventive and curative Homoeopathy treatment in interior remote locations where no modern, diagnostic medical facilities are available.”

He further said, “The need of the hour was to put in place standardised practices and processes for all systems of medicine and stressed the need to standardise and maintain the quality of homoeopathy education and research in the country.”

“It should be our collective obligation to not let this humanitarian discipline to be besmirched by the unethical lust for profit,” he added.
