BIMTECH revives old memories with Annual Alumni Meet 2019

Greater Noida (24/11/19) : Yesterday (on Saturday), Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida organized its Annual Alumni meet to celebrate and to relive the nostalgic moments from the campus life of their alumni.

Hundreds of BIMTECH Alumni who are spread across the globe playing a pivotal role in multinational companies were present on this evening  to celebrate and to enjoy the fine evening at their Alma Master’s campus with their college mates and the faculties.

The evening begin with a 1 hour Carnival games and activities which marked the eventful start of the evening.

The official program begin with the lighting of the lamp by the hosts and the guests present on the occasion including BIMTECH Director Dr. H. Chaturvedi and the Chief Guest for the evening, Mr. Kamal Singh, Executive Director, UN GCNI.

The lighting of the lamp was followed by an address by BIMTECH Director, Dr. H. Chaturvedi who welcomed all the guests faculties and alumni present on the occasion and specially thanked Gagan Katiyar for organizing the whole event. Later in his address, Dr. Chaturvedi announced that BIMTECH is likely to get AACSB Accreditation within around next one year.

Kamal Singh, Executive Director, UN GCNI was next up to deliver his address. In his address, Mr. Singh acknowledged the cultural values at BIMTECH, thanked the alumni for their contribution and praised BIMTECH for its floor touching attrition rate.

The Address by Mr. Singh was followed by some impressive cultural performances by BIMTECH Students.

The anchoring duty for the whole event was handed over to Mr. Vinay Batra, an alumnus of BIMTECH who is currently working as a TV Anchor. Mr. Batra throughout the event enthralled the audience through some candid conversations with students, alumni and faculties, bringing back some old memories in the process.

In the “Reviving Old Memories” segment, Mr. Batra called upon some special alumni like the ones who were present there from the oldest batch; the one who came from the furthest city from Greater Noida; a couple who studied together at BIMTECH and got married afterwards and the one who were suspended or fined the most during their student life at BIMTECH.

Mr. Batra got involved with these alumni through candid conversations and handed over a gift to all those who marked their presence at the stage in all those categories.

After the cultural performances by the students and handing over of the gifts, the stage was all set for Anubhav Bassi, a renowned comedian, to lit the stage on fire. Mr. Bassi who has 9,00,000+ subscribers on YouTube entertained the audience with his mindful comedy as he kept interacting with the students while sharing some funny moments from his life as a law student and as an entrepreneur.

The students kept cheering for Mr. Bassi throughout and it was apparent that the show was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present on the occasion.

After the Comedy show, a novel named “Life, Love and Butterflies” written by Mr. Sudhir Sharma, an alumnus of BIMTECH was released.

After the event, Ten News interacted with Mr. Sudhir Sharma who shared what his book is all about and his memories at BIMTECH.

Ten News also interacted with the anchor, Mr. Vinay Batra at the end who had made the evening even more exciting and memorable for everyone present there.
