Greater Noida (17/01/2022): Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) organised the first-ever Startup India Innovation Week from 10th to 16th of January 2022.

This week-long innovation celebration aimed to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and was designed to showcase the spread and depth of entrepreneurship across India.

The programme brought together top policy makers, industry, academia, investors, startups, and all ecosystem enablers from across the globe.

During the innovation week, 4 lead departments under the Government of India were invited to showcase their best examples in promoting startups. These agencies were MEITY,DBT, DST and AIM (Niti Ayog). Each of them were asked to showcase one of their best examples. Out of 68 AIC under AIM, currently being run across the country, Greater Noida’s AIC-BIMTECH was selected for reverse pitching to the startup community, on the basis of a site visit made by a senior official of Niti Ayog.

Talking about this achievement, Dr Abha Rishi, CEO, AIC-BIMTECH, said, “It is an honour for us to be recognized as one of the selected incubators to be given such a platform to interact with entrepreneurs all over the country. We immediately started receiving queries from startups targeting other countries as our pitch ended, which showcases the need and outreach of such initiatives.”
