BJP on Friday started its election campaigning for the ​61 ​Noida assembly constituency, where Home Minister’s son – Pankaj Singh is contesting assembly election.Pankaj Singh along with MLA Vimla Batham and hundreds of supporters visited several areas of sector- 22 Noida where they interacted with the voters.Pankaj Singh, a general secretary in the party’s state unit, has missed out on becoming its nominee in a couple of previous elections His name was doing the rounds for a number of constituencies with the party finally allotting Noida seat to him Pankaj Singh will fight against SP candidate Sunil choudhary.The election of Noida assembly seat is going to be held on 11 Feb​ruary​ 2017 Meanwhile, the ruling Samajwadi Party and Congress made their alliance official in Uttar Pradesh and vowed to defeat BJP. SP will contest on 298 seats while Congress will field its candidates on 105 seats.Noida seat is being watched as high profile contest by the media. . It was evident from the fact that during filing of nominations huge gathering of national media was present to cover. Local MP and Union Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma will extend him full support…although his trusted aide Sanjay Bali has expressed dissatisfaction over allocation of ticket to him.
