Blackbuck found dead in Greater Noida, investigation underway

Greater Noida (26/11/18) : Under the mysterious circumstances One blackbuck was found dead in forests of village Maksudpur under Rabupura Police Station of Gautaum Budh Nagar district.

Regarding the same forest officials had registered a complaint against unidentified individuals and is investigating the matter.

As per information the Blackbuck also known is the Indian antelope (Kala hiran). This is the same animal of which Salman Khan was convicted of poaching rare blackbuck deer in wildlife. The blackbuck is listed under endangered species In India, hunting of blackbuck is prohibited under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. And 5 year of imprisonment can given to a person found guilty of doing so. In 1947, there were around 80,000 blackbucks, in less than 20 years; it had fallen to 8,000 by 1964.

In the GB Nagar incident on the night of 24th and 25th November a Blackbuck was found dead to the forest officials. A human placed trap was also found there directing that hunters may have involved behind this mysterious death of Blackbuck. As few days earlier couple of Blackbuck were also found dead.

Ravindra kumar Rathi, SO Rabupura Police station told that “We had received a complaint from forest officials regarding the death of blackbuck, we had registered a complaint against unidentified persons and started the probe in the matter.”
