Bus carrying 70 passengers collides with truck on Yamuna Expressway, one soldier dead

Noida, 13th October, 2022: On Tuesday morning, a private double-decker bus carrying 70 passengers collided with a stone-laden truck on the Yamuna Expressway near Noida.
According to police, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and clashed with the truck from behind at high speed. The bus smashed through the parapet and fell off the expressway connecting Greater Noida to Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vishal Pande stated that the injured passengers were rushed to two hospitals in Greater Noida after a portion of the vehicle was cut open to rescue the passengers trapped inside.
Dogra Regiment soldier, Lavi Kumar died during treatment, while eight others are in serious condition, he added.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
