Buyers awaiting allotment allege scam in Yamuna Development Authorities first Plot scheme

A group of YEIDA plot buyers under the banner of Residential Plot Owners Social Welfare Association (Regd.) YEIDA- Sec 18 & 20 today raised serious concerns regarding gross injustice by YEIDA and for not giving promised plots to 21,000 Allottes, evern after eight years of launch of Residential Plot Scheme- 2009 (1)(RPS-2009(I)).
Around 21,000 families are impacted by this non-allotment by YEIDA authority. Buyers allege that the scheme was launched without doing any actual ground survey and was done by taking satellite images & drawing a map on the same.
As per an RTI, YEIDA had collected Rs 2945 crore till 26.02.2016. The money was meant for development of Sec 18 & 20, though 99% of the area is still undeveloped. Now YEIDA has just announced possession of only 55 plots in January, 2017.
Buyers allege that around 74% land is litigation free yet Yamuna Development Authority is taking no interest in development and allotment of the given land.
Buyers are seeing new ray of hope after change in state regime. They will also be writing to PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath to bring forward there issues in front of them.
