CBI raids Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s residence, “they are welcome”, he tweets.

Delhi, August 19th,2022: The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) on Friday conducted raids at 21 locations in Delhi including the residence of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
The raids were in connection with alleged irregularities in Delhi Excise Policy. IAS officer Arava Gopi Krishna’s residence was also raided this morning.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia put out a tweet in Hindi, “CBI has come. He is welcome. We are extremely honest. Making the future of millions of children”.
He further added that he will fully cooperate with CBI so that the truth can come out soon. “Such accusations cannot stop my work. I will continue to work to provide quality education to the country”, he said.
In a third tweet, Manis Sisodia tweeted,” These people are troubled by the excellent work of Delhi’s education and health. That is why the Health Minister and Education Minister of Delhi have been arrested so that the good work of education and health can be stopped. There are false allegations against both of us. The truth will come out in court.”
Incidentally, the CBI raids are conducted on the same day when Manish Sisodia’s photo was printed in America’s largest newspaper, NYT, praising his efforts toward the educational facilities in India.
Health Minister Chetan Singh said, “Today the largest newspaper in the US, The New York Times, printed his photo on the front page and today Modi Ji sent the CBI to his house”.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also welcomed the CBI searches, saying the party would fully cooperate. “On a day when the Delhi education model is praised and Manish Sisodia’s picture is printed on the front page of America’s largest newspaper, NYT, the Centre sends CBI to his house,” he said.
Punjab CM, Bhagwant Mann also slammed the CBI raids and said that Sisodia is the best education minister of independent India.
