National Media Club has awarded Greater Noida as most clean and green city of Uttar Pradesh.

For the uninitiated Greater Noida was actually planned as a city of ferries, fountains, flowers and fairness. After so many years of urbanization, the city has still maintained its clean and green aura.

The award is also the testimony of the hard work and vision of the people who had actually planned it this way years ago. Its founding chairman Yogendra Narayan, former CEO Brijesh Kumar, former CEO Rama Raman and former CEO Deepak Agarwal also played vital role in maintaining the city’s greenery and providing adequate cleanliness facilities.

The award will be presented on 30th May in Lucknow.

Speaking to Ten News the newly joined CEO of Greater Noida authority Debasish Panda said,”It is a great news and obviously the credit goes to all those who have preceded me in handling this charge so impeccably. We will work hard to maintain these high standards and I will assure Greater Noida remains as clean and green as ever”.

ACEO Krishna Kumar said, “We are delighted with this award and all officers and workers of Greater Noida authority as well as learned esteemed population of the city needs to be credited for this achievement. We will keep on working to make this a better and better city everyday”.

Ten News also spoke to National Media Club coordinator Sushil Pandey who informed that all districts of UP were evaluated. High tech cleanliness machines and door to door garbage collection were prime features which gave the city of Greater Noida prime position in the ranking.
