CM Haryana Manohar Lal interaction with Manufacturing sector in Faridabad, invite suggestions on budget

Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal, had an interactive session with the representatives of manufacturing sector of Faridabad and Gurugram. Since both the cities are the centre of manufacturing activities, a cross section of the industry and business settles in these two cities alone. CM was in Faridabad on 15th January to have a interactive session with the industry prior to the  finance budget for the year.

After discussions with the business community, CM said that the budget of the state would be having a special concentration on the subjects that will help in promoting employment in the state. He said that since it is the industry that give more jobs, some incentives would be extended to the industries generating more jobs. Clarifying his stand on the development of the state, CM said, “We are the partners in the development of the state, not givers and takers”. He said that the budget is just listing of the sources of funds and the avenues for expenditure of the state.

Discussing about the efforts of his government to enhance the employability of the youth of the state, Manohar Lal made a special  mention of the Shri Vishvakarma Skill Development University at Palwal. He informed that the university is running the technical courses which are in need of the industry, so that the industry can hire the youth directly from the campus of the skill university.

On the matter of development of the industry in the state, he said that his government is making sure that the basic infrastructure in the state, for development of the industry is not compromised at any cost. To ensure the same, there are a number of national highways coming up. He also mentioned the ongoing project of metro connectivity of Faridabad with Gurugram and International Airport at Delhi. He further elaborated that the DPR of the metro line connecting Gurugram has already been completed. CM informed that after KMP, the government has already taken up the project of Orbital Rail Corridor that would be started between Kundli and Prithla. This corridor would be laid in such a way that without touching Delhi, it connects Haryana with Himachal, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and other northern states. He said that along with KMP, the government is planning to develop more cities. Starting from Meerut in UP to Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Alwar in Rajasthan, national highways are being made for smooth connectivity.

CM said that with the provisions of acquiring land becoming more stringent, it is not possible for the government to acquire the land from farmers and transfer it to the industry. However, the process of sale and purchase of land has been made totally transparent. If any farmer wishes to sell his land, he can put his offer on ‘e-bhoomi’ portal of the government and mention the rate on which he wishes to sell his land. Whenever suitable plans are there, the government may accept the offer.

Manohar lal also talked about the work done by the government to improve the level of underground water. For this the government has come up with the proposals on reuse and recycle of sewerage water. He said that this recycled water can be used other than drinking. He informed that in the state major developments are already in process in the areas of Air force, Rail and Road traffic. The improvements would be visible in the coming five years for sure, said the CM.

Chief Minister also informed the present that process has already been started for procurement of 1000 e-buses in the state. Out of this 100 buses would be given to Faridabad which, said the CM, would help in making the city bus services smooth. On the matter of economy different stake holders shared their opinions in view of the rising requirements of future. The present congratulated the CM on Haryana achieving third position in ranking for ease of doing business. The initiative of CM was widely appreciated by the stake holders saying that is for the first time in the state that the CM has himself come to discuss proposals for the budget to come.

Talking to media, CM informed about the next meeting scheduled at Hisar for discussions on expectations of the people from agriculture sector from the government.

Rao, Deputy Commissioner Faridabad Yashpal Yadav, Shatrujeet Kapur, Special Secretary finance department Shalin, District President Bhartiya Janta Party Gopal Sharma along with stake holders from manufacturing industry.
