CONSUL GENERAL OF INDIA IN SHANGHAI INAUGURATED INDIA PAVILION IN CHINA BRAND PRODUCTS IMPORT EXPO, KUNSHAN, CHINA ON 14TH MAY, 2014

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) is participating in China Brand Product Import Expo from 14 – 17 May, 2014.   The Fair is being organized and hosted by Ministry of Commerce of the People‘s Republic of China &  China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government at  Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China.

The Kunshan Import fair is a very large scale event which attracts not just domestic Chinese companies but also large number of foreign companies with more than 100,000 visitors.  The  Council is participating in the show with 11 member exporters  displaying Decorative, home furnishing and Christmas Items at the show under the  Umbrella of India Pavilion, informed Mr. Rakesh Kumar – Executive Director – EPCH.

The India Pavilion was inaugurated by  Mr. Navin Srivastava, Consul General of India in Shanghai on 14th May, 2014.   The other dignitaries present during inauguration were Mr. Fu Ziying, Vice Governor, Jiangsu Province, China, Mr. Jiang Zengwei – Chairman – CCPIT, Mr. Tong Daochi – Assistant Minister of Commerce, China, Ms. Qui Ping – Vice Chairperson, Department of Commerce and Mr. S.K. Ray, Consul Commerce from CGI.

The Council is also widely promoting its forthcoming revamped and renamed IHGF-Delhi-Fair Autumn 2014 to attract the buyers of Kunshan Import fair to visit and source their requirement from IHGF-Delhi Fair,  further elaborated Mr. Kumar.

EPCH is expecting good business by Indian exporters from the show.

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts [EPCH] – an apex body for promotion and export  of handicrafts products from India to the world market — has since evolved an integrated and comprehensive policy which revolves around development of new product lines, new designs, improvement in technology and aggressive marketing as well as exploring new markets.
