Hemant Kanoria, Chairman & Managing Director, SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited was the chief guest on the occasion of 29th convocation of Birla Institute of Management Technology.
While addressing the esteemed gathering at the occasion, Mr. Kanoria highlighted the significance of public-private partnership structure in India. He also said that students should also pursue their passion to achieve their entrepreneurship goals.
“Entrepreneurship is in blood of all Indian’s. Even if one Indian becomes an Entrepreneur, he can give job to many more other fellow Indian’s. People who are passing out shouldn’t be job seeker but a job creator.”
Talking about infrastructure industry domain of India he said, “Infrastructure sector is the second biggest employer in India coming only after agriculture. For creating entrepreneur in villages government had introduced a scheme ten years back. Participation from huge number of people ensured that we had good number of male, female entrepreneurs at the end of the training program. Later around 600,000 jobs have been created by these entrepreneurs in India”
“Power of today’s youth combined with experience of senior professional can bring about remarkable difference in the society”, he further said.
