New Delhi, 31 August 2022: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched the first ‘Delhi virtual school’ on Wednesday for students who are unable to attend physical schools and also termed it the first such school in the country.
“Today, we are beginning India’s first virtual school, subsidiary with the Delhi Board of School Education. We’re welcoming admission applications for Class 9 from today for all the children across the country,” said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal claimed that the Delhi government has begun these virtual classes, particularly for girls, who are unable to attend school for a variety of reasons. “In order to support their families, many youngsters who should not be working at the time do so owing to family obligations. As a result, all of the students in this school will receive an education,” CM Kejriwal said during the news conference.
He also called it a “revolutionary step in the education system of Delhi”. If a student is absent from class for any reason, the recordings of the session will also be posted online, he added.
This type of instruction will begin for kids in grades 9 to 12. Students can start applying today on the website http://www.dmvs.ac.in and enroll. Any child who has completed class 8 at a recognized school and is between the ages of 13 and 18 may apply, the Delhi CM added.
When a student applies to the virtual school, they are given login information to the website, where they can access recorded or live lessons, online tutorials, and tests.
“We have to make education available to everyone, every single child should acquire an education” if we want to make India the best country in the world. We shouldn’t squander any more time after wasting 75 years,” Kejriwal said.
“In Delhi Model Virtual School, students have access to recorded lessons, live courses, and study materials. Additionally, we will aid students in their preparation for tough tests like JEE and NEET,” he added.
