MURDER OF NURSE SOLVED, ONE PERSON ARRESTED

With the arrest of Vishvabandhu (34) S/o Sh. Rishiprakash Chauhan r/o Rathadhana Road, Sonipat, Haryana, Central District police has solved a sensational blind murder case of a staff nurse who was found murdered at her Govt. Quarter, LNJP Hospital on 20.09.2014.

INCIDENT

On 21.09.2014, a case vide FIR No 398/14 U/s 302 IPC was registered at PS I.P. Estate on the statement of one Anand Kumar S/o Late Chander Singh R/o Village Barona, PS Kharkhoda, Sonipat, Haryana wherein he stated that his elder sister namely Nirmala Devi was working as Staff Nurse at LNJP Hospital and used to reside alone at her Govt. Quarter, LNJP Hospital. On 20.09.2014 when she did not attend his phone calls despite calling her repeateadly, he reached his sister’s Quarter along with his brother-in-law namely Rajat where he found the deadbody of his sister in the Bathroom of her Govt. Quarter and informed the police in this regard.

TEAM AND INTERROGATION

On this, a police team comprising of Inspector Yash Pal Singh, SHO/I.P.Estate, Inspector Ashok Kumar, Inspector Investigation/I.P.Estate, Inspector Jarnail Singh, SHO/Hauz Qazi, Insp. B.K. Singh, ATO Kamla Market, ASI Bijender, HC Ajeet Singh , Ct. Kiranpal and Ct Sarwan along with the team of Special Staff/Central under the close supervision of the ACP /Kamla Market Sh. Sukant Shailja Ballabh and overall supervision of Dr. Ashok Malik Addl.DCP-I/Central District was constituted and investigation taken up.

During the course of investigation, information was developed. The Call Details Record of the deceased’s mobile was obtained and minutely scrutinized, which revealed that a number was frequently in touch with the deceased Nirmala. On further investigation it was found that the suspect Mobile No is being used by accused Vishvabandhu, an advocate by profession. The local sources also informed that accused Vishvabandhu used to visit regularly the deceased at her Govt Quarter and stayed there occasionally. It also came to notice that everything was not going well between them for last couple of years.

During the stern interrogation of the accused he disclosed that he was known to the deceased for about 7 years. He got married with another lady in the month of November 2013. Thereafter, differences arose between them. The deceased used to threaten him of ruining his married life and they often had hot exchanges with each other.

On 17.09.2014, he called the deceased at 1:37 P.M. and told her that he would be coming to see her at her apartment. In the night, he came to her apartment and as a part of his plan, when the lady went to washroom, he came from behind and forced her head into a plastic tub filled with water till the time he thought that she had died. Thereafter, he put another plastic bucket filled with water over her to ensure that she dies in water.
