Delhi Police PRO says situation in Northeast Delhi is normal, urges not to believe rumours

New Delhi, 12th March: Delhi Police PRO MS Randhawa addressed media on Delhi riots assuring that the law and order situation in Delhi was completely normal. He also added that the Delhi Police had received a lot of videos in association with the riots that will help them in further investigation.

MS Randhawa also added that senior officers were continuously monitoring the situation in violence-hit Northeast Delhi and police forces were still deployed in some parts of the area.

 

The Delhi Police has registered 712 FIRs and more than 200 accused have been arrested, said Randhawa adding that “analysis of all footage; face recognition technology is being used to identify people. Many people have come forward to record their statements. SIT and Loc police are conducting the probe,” he added.

The PRO also thanked the media and public for not spreading rumours and asked to verify rumours through official figures released by the police.
