Delhi University Girl Found Dead In Noida PG

NOIDA (29/01/19) :– A student of Delhi University, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her PG room in Noida.

Swati Soni, a 21 year old girl who was studying law from Delhi University and living in Noida Sector 27 was found dead at her paying guest accommodation.

Police officials said on Monday, that, “the girl is from Uttarakhand and was living here in Noida. She was sharing her room with another girl, but she was not present there when the incident took place”.

Swati’s friend informed the police that “she tried calling her last night but Swati did not respond. Later she called up the cook of the PG and asked him to get Swati on the phone. When the cook went, he found the room was locked from inside and there was no response”.

“Later the cook along with some other PG residents tried to look inside through the window and found Swati hanging from the ceiling fan”, she added.

The residents of PG informed the local Police of Sector 20 Police Station. Police reached the spot and broke down the door after which the body was brought down and sent for an autopsy.

“The girl’s family has been informed and they were on their way to Noida”.
“No case has been filed so far”, Police officials said.
