Delhi WaveRiders – The Grace of Hockey

Recently Delhi WaveRiders hosted an event for their fans. The fans spent a lovely evening with Captain Sardar Singh, Yuvraj Walmiki and Akashdeep Singh at a high tea event at The Park Hotel in New Delhi.
When asked about promoting Hockey, Sardar Singh said, “Wave is promoting Hockey to grass-root level with its DWR School Cup initiative”. He also said that the team is looking forward for the next season of Hockey India League. His team follows a tight fitness regime to keep up the spirit of the game.

Delhi WaveRiders (DWR) is a field hockey franchise based in Delhi that plays in the Hockey India League. The team is owned by The Wave Group. Sardar Singh is the captain of the team. Sardar Singh is an Arjuna Award winner and is popularly referred to as “sade Santnagar di shan? (The Pride of Santnagar), back at home in Haryana.
The 2014 Hockey India League was won by Delhi WaveRiders (DWR) and they are all set to play the next season.
