#DPS Faridabad launches tablet based learning solutions for their students
DPS Faridabad, one of the leading schools in NCR Region, announced the introduction of tablets for their students. This initiative is a first by any school run by the Delhi Public School Society and is in partnership with IGNITOR,a unique “next-generation” textbook platform.
DPS Faridabad has already been marching ahead towards digitization and this tablet initiative is part of the quest to equip its students for the future. The students will be provided the Solution which comprises a Digital Learning Platform loaded with “next-generation” digital textbooks as per the school curriculum. These books are enriched with additional study material provided by teachers and multimedia content from different publishers which students can access anytime, anywhere.
The BYOD (Bring your Own Device) policy means that students can bring their own choice of device or even their existing device where the solution would be loaded.
The Tablet Based Learning Solution will not only lighten the schoolbags by 50% but will also empower theteachers to analyze and monitor students’ performance on a daily basis. Homework, assignments, specific content modules can be circulated by the teachers to the students.With the help of analytics, the teacher gets insights into every student’s learning patterns and gaps. Regular reports provided to the Parents would also help them to keep a track on the child’s progress and know what problems their child is facing.

Mr. Hari Shankar Vashisht, Vice Principal said, the Teachers now can frequently conduct quick Quizzes and assessments and get instant analytics highlighting the learning gaps and can cater to individual learning needs of the students.
Ms. Jyoti Dhall, the Headmistress, mentioned that the students are very excited. They can now read their digital textbooks, watch relevant multimedia content linked to the concepts in the book, take practice assessments and learn at their own pace.
Ms. Pallavi Piplani and Ms. Deepa, Academic Coordinators of Class IX and Class VIII, highlighted the efforts put in by the school and subject teachers for in depth evaluation and analysis to get the solution implemented in the school. They mentioned about several orientation programmes directed towards parents to explain the concept and address their queries and concerns and also incorporate some good ideas which emerged as a result of these interactions.
