Dr. Prabhat Kumar to continue as YEIDA chairman, probes ordered by him to continue unaffected

As part of bureaucratic reshuffle Dr Prabhat Kumar Commissioner of Meerut  zone was transferred to Lucknow as Agriculture Production Commissioner as well as  Additional Chief  Secretary of Basic  Education. He is expected to leave his charge from Meerut on Thursday.

With this transfer his rank and status in bureaucracy has been enhanced by the State government as he had been assigned him important post of Agriculture Production Commissioner which heads other 20 departments. The APC is considered second most important post after CS in state administration. While on the post of commissioner he had done great work and exposed number of scams in the authority and had sent many of the officers behind the bars.

He was also involved in an initiative to make Hindon clean. Apart from this he was also investigating the matter of staff enrolment in authority over fake documents and the FAR policy of the land that was allotted for the Grand Venice mall. Now after his transfers apprehension is that probe that was started by him may get affected.

He also remained in lime light for his style of working. Many times he managed to make corrupt officers arrested by inviting them to their office even before registering a FIR against them. Because of that many of the corrupt officers had started to avoid visiting his office.

But even after his transfer he will be heading the YEIDA as it’s Chairman and stated that “investigation will not be allowed to get affected as CEO Arun Veer singh is monitoring the investigation and he will complete it within time and FIR will be registered in numerous cases as required”
