DSGMC gives 72 hour ultimatum to congress party to reveal names of congressmen involved in Anti-Sikh riots

The president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Mr. Manjit Singh G.K. today gave 72 hours ultimatum to congress party for revealing names of those congressmen who were involved in 1984 riots, failing which DSGMC and Shiromani Akali Dal Badal would launch stir against the congress party and gherao its vice president Mr. Rahul Gandhi who in a recent interview has said that some congressmen were probably involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Thousands of innocent Sikhs were killed in the riots in a planned manner all over the country.

Mr. G.K. who is also president of Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal Delhi unit adds that it is really shocking that everyday new revelations are made which is like rubbing salt into the wounds of families of innocent who were mercilessly killed 30 years ago by congress goons who were charged by congress leaders such as Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler, and two other leaders who have died including HKL Bhagat and Dharam Das Shastri.

“Shockingly 5,000 army men were inside Delhi cantonment and congress party led government of those days was watching Sikhs being killed and when army was called after three days the riots it was instructed not to shoot,” further said Mr. G.K.

Mr. G.K. further said that when the scion of congress party has accepted that his party men were involved he should not hesitate to name them, if congress patty has some compassion for the minority community Sikhs.

The president of SAD Delhi president Mr. G.K. further said that when Sikhs were being killed on the streets the telephone links of then president Giani Zail Singh were snapped and he was unable to contact then prime minister Mr. Rajiv Gandhi to intervene into killings of innocent Sikhs.

The General Secetery of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Mr.Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that, Ved Marwaha commission constituted by the government to investigate into the riots when highlighted the role of top Delhi police cops was told to stop inquiry halfway. “This shows clear cut involvement of the congress party in killing of thousands of Sikhs in a planned manner,” adds Mr. Sirsa.
