EPCH set to host 55th IHGF Delhi Fair from 15th to 19th March 2023 at India Expo Mart

New Delhi – 4th March’2023 – The 55th edition of one of the world’s largest handicrafts fairs i.e. IHGF-Delhi fair Spring’2023 will be held from 15-19 March’2023.  All stakeholders – participants and visitors have been eagerly waiting to expand business through this mega sourcing platform. The fair is open to overseas buyers, buying and sourcing professionals as well as large domestic volume retail buyers from 15th to 19th March’2023 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.

Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH informed that Parvinder Singh, M/s. Leo Arts (India), Saharanpur; Ravindra Nath, M/s. Ocean Exim India Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur and Deepak Gupta, M/s. Dee Gee’s Creations, New Delhi have been nominated as Vice-Presidents of IHGF Delhi Fair Spring Reception Committee’2023 as they are stalwarts in their respective fields. Kumar further added that Avdesh Agarwal representing M/s Sri Sai D Art from Moradabad having a wide experience of over 25 years in handicrafts sector has already been nominated as President IHGF Delhi Fair Spring Reception Committee’2023.

Adding further, he said Ravindra Nath representing M/s. Ocean Exim India Pvt. Ltd. is a prominent exporter from Jaipur exporting home textiles since 1976 and has received various accolades for his contribution in exports, Parvinder Singh representing M/s. Leo Arts (India) is a prominent exporter from Saharanpur exporting wooden handicrafts for 30 years and Deepak Gupta representing M/s. Dee Gee’s Creations is a prominent exporter from New Delhi since 1990 and is exporting fashion jewellery and accessories.

Avdesh Agarwal, President IHGF Delhi Fair Spring Reception Committee’2023 said that nomination of three Vice-Presidents would certainly be an advantage for the fair and their wide experience and knowledge would further strengthen this world renowned IHGF Delhi fair from their valuable inputs and would result in organization of a successful 55th edition IHGF Delhi fair. The fair will see various additional facilities for the buyers and exhibitors and will also have thematic crafts displays, knowledge seminars and fashion shows.

Rajkumar Malhotra, Chairman-EPCH informed that the five day fair will bring home, lifestyle, fashion, textiles and furniture products by 3000 including permanent marts of handicrafts exporters from across the country under one roof.  The fair is one of its kind and this edition will have a wide-ranging selection of 2000+ new products and 300+ design expressions spanning across 14 product categories such as houseware, home furnishing, furniture, gifts and decoratives, lamps and lighting, Christmas & festive décor, fashion jewellery & accessories, spa & wellness, carpets and rugs, bathroom accessories, garden accessories, educational toys & games, handmade paper products & stationery and leather bags. The exhibition will have emphatic representation of craft manufacturing hubs and clusters, at the India Expo Centre Halls making this a comprehensive sourcing destination.

On this occasion, R. K. Verma, Executive Director-EPCH informed that EPCH being a nodal agency, promoting exports of handicrafts from the Country to various destinations of the world and projecting India’s image abroad as a reliable supplier of high quality handicrafts goods & services. The Handicrafts exports during the year 2021-22 was Rs. 33253.00 Crores (US $ 4459.76 Million) registering a growth of 29.49% in rupee term & 28.90% in dollar terms over previous year.
